TAYLOR BLACKMAN
Trainer & Rider
Taylor Blackman is the founder and head trainer of Gold Crown Jumpers in Wellington Florida. Raised in Texas, she began her riding career in Western roping and reining before transitioning into working with hunter, jumper, and equitation horses. This diverse foundation shaped her feel, balance and understanding of horsemanship, which she brings to every horse in her program.
At Gold Crown Jumpers Taylor focuses on strong flat-work, thoughtful development and clear communication between horse and rider. Her training emphasizes creating horses that are both competitive and enjoyable to ride. Taylor has experience producing young prospects, preparing show horses for the hunter, jumper and equitation rings and guiding riders toward their goals at every level.
With a background that includes national and international competition experience, Taylor manages all aspects of training, showing and sales. She provides a calm, clear and structured approach that supports long term progress and sets both horses and riders up for success.
Based just minutes from the Winter Equestrian Festival, Gold Crown Jumpers offers a professional and supportive environment where horses develop correctly and riders grow with confidence.
ALEX BLACKMAN
Young Horse Development
Alex Blackman specializes in the early training and development of young and green horses at Gold Crown Jumpers in Wellington Florida. With a calm and consistent approach, he has a talent for building confident young horses that understand their job and progress steadily toward show ring readiness.
Alex began riding at a young age and has worked with a wide range of horses, which shaped his patience, feel and focus on correct basics. Over the years he has gained extensive experience starting young horses, restarting sensitive types and guiding green horses through their first steps in professional training programs.
His program emphasizes balanced flat-work, correct biomechanics, steady progression and thoughtful exposure to new environments. Alex believes that young horses thrive when they understand what is being asked of them, and he takes the time to create clarity, confidence and trust in every ride.
At Gold Crown Jumpers Alex develops horses for future hunter, jumper and equitation careers, laying the foundation that allows them to become reliable, educated and competitive partners. His steady presence, careful timing and commitment to correct training make him an essential part of the program and a valuable guide for horses at the beginning of their careers.
Our Story

Gold Crown Jumpers was built on the belief that great horses are developed through patience, precision, and a clear understanding of what each horse needs to thrive. The program has grown naturally out of a shared passion for producing quality sport horses and creating a professional, supportive environment where horses and riders can excel.
From the beginning, the focus has always been on doing things the right way. Not the fast way, not the trendy way, but the way that creates long-lasting, confident athletes. This philosophy extends from our young horse program to our show training and sales representation. Every horse that walks into our barn is treated as an individual, with a tailored plan that supports its development, fitness, and mental well-being.
Being based just minutes from WEF allows us to offer unparalleled access to world-class show opportunities while maintaining the structure and consistency of a true training program. Horses receive the benefit of experienced riding, thoughtful preparation, and a professional environment that emphasizes correctness, communication, and long-term soundness.
Today, Gold Crown Jumpers continues to grow while staying rooted in its core values, honesty, horsemanship, and producing horses that are both competitive and a joy to ride. Our mission is simple: develop quality partners, support riders at every level, and uphold a standard of professionalism in everything we do.
